Thanks to HGTV star, Joanna Gaines, the white modern farmhouse adorned with black windows and glass front door has become a ubiquitous facade for homes across America.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Joanna. I have great admiration for Joanna and her distinct style that has resonated with so many people, which is clear given how commonly this elevation can now be seen across our cities and towns. But, as someone who specializes in new construction and renovation, I can tell you that this look has become saturated. So, when I was driving from one of my listings on this early spring day, this bold beauty’s color palette made me pull right into the driveway.

Renovations are still underway, and I am sure there’s still much to do, like paint the front door and perhaps give some love to this light post, but… they nailed it with the siding color and black windows. I am not certain if this adventurous Cape Cod is a flip that will soon be for sale or if this renovation is for the homeowners themselves. Whatever the circumstance, whomever gets to live in this beauty, is one lucky steward.
Now, here’s something refreshing I’m excited to share! These handy homeowners emailed me a thank you for my token of appreciation and invited me to come back when the reno is complete. And so, I am patiently waiting, understanding that renovations must not be rushed! But what I can promise you is this: whenever that time comes and I get to take a sneak peek inside, I will be sure to share those picks here with you.
I love spreading joy one #BestNestAward at a time!
